The rooms were on the old side, very small, and got stuffy quickly due to the air conditioner needing cleaning. The high step into the capsule-type bathroom and the small size would have been challenging for two guests with suitcases.

I ended up booking this hotel for $294 as there were no other options available and I really wanted to stay in Kyoto that weekend. The room was clean and comfortable despite a high step that made it a bit challenging.
